Flower Bling

I have been into Bling lately. This card has some serious bling, LOL. The flower bling I bought at Target in the scrapbooking isle. I think they were made by Me and My Big Ideas, package of 3. Pink patterned papers was something I picked up at Hobby Lobby awhile back along with the ribbon.

I need to make a Birthday Card for my oldest today. He is turing Sweet 16. We decided to make a Ice Cream Pie instead of a cake since it has been so warm. I think we will take him for supper tonight.

Alter It/ Recycle

This little altered tin was actually a container holding flowers when I got it. I subscribe to Paper Popsicle Monthly Scrapbooking Kit and this tin was in the kit for June filled with flowers. I immediately dumped the flowers out and started altering the tin. I am planning on using the tin for holding spiral clips or buttons in my stamp room. All papers from Pink Paislee. I used a couple scallopped punches from the local craft store.

A Vintage USA stamp set from CTMH Sorry it is a tad blurry. The striped paper is patterned paper from CTMH also. I liked the border I stamped on the red cardstock. Popped the stars up with foam tape and added a little bling to the center. Added a little paper tab on the bottom with 3 brads. To me that seems to anchor the card on the bottom.

Been slacking lately in posting. Been busy here and time sure flies. I think my problem is that the kids are not in school and my computer time when I did the majority of my blogging was at 6:15 in the morning. I have to find a summer time routine yet.

This card is from Hostess Club this month. We used all Close To my Heart stamps and papers and inks ( Indian Corn Blue, Outdoor Denim, Cranberry). Added a little bling also.

Been a few days since I posted. I figured I should soon or I will be hearing about it from friends.

I am heading for a nap today. So tired from not sleeping much last night. We had rumbling and bangs of thunder all night and I did not sleep well. Everyone else slept like a baby. I guess I am a worry wart.

Ice Cream Anyone?

This is another stamp set that has gathered dust on the shelf and wanted to be used at least once! LOL The stamps are from Close To My Heart. It is a discontinued one from last year I think. I stamped with black ink directly onto colored cardstock and cut the images out and layered the scoops of ice cream. Again on this card no patterned papers used which was a challenge for me for the week. I stamped the pink cardstock with the saying I scream for Ice Cream. A little Bling in each corner with rhinestones. Makes me want to buy some ice cream for this yummy treat!

Scouting Card

Today we attended a Eagle Scout Award of a friend of my oldest son. I made this card for the special occassion with some scout stamps I had from CTMH years ago and never used. I used the cuttlebug and added texture with the rough diamond pattern. Colored in the images with CTMH markers. I thought he turned out darling! Might have to make a few more of these.

This card idea was inspired by recent magazine and had to copy it in style. Again I am trying to do the no patterned paper. So I stamped a script saying onto the sunflower paper in a chocolate ink and distressed the edges. I also scissor distressed the chocolate cardstock square under the basket for a roughed up look. Colored in the flower basket with markers and added some bling.

Transparency Sheets

This card is done with transparency sheets I bought at the scrapbook store. It was the 12x12 size with the frames already on the sheets. I was always stumped in what to do with them so I tackled it and this is what I came up with. I did do a rub on of friends on the transparency also.

June Stamp Of The Month

Good morning! This is the June Stamp of the Month used in this card. I made this card for a swap I host monthly. Again in this post no patterned paper challenge. Colors are Ocean, Black, Hydranga, Watermelon. Rolled the flower stamp in Watermelon into Ocean to get a multi color on that stamped image. Added a little bling to the center of the flowers.

This card is a start of a challenge I am trying for the next few days. I am trying to create cards without using pattern papers. This card was stamplifted from a magazine I just got.

Colors are citrus leaf, black, ocean. I used the white daisy ink pad from CTMH also. Scallop punch from SU. All stamps from CTMH. The 3 black brads are paper punches from the leftover black papers. Glued them down then applied liquid glass to them. Rhinestone to the center of the flower for a little bling.

Laugh

Happy Holiday Weekend. We are hanging out this weekend at the house. No real plans which is fine with me. Relaxation is wonderful! Then back to work and school. This week is the last week for school also for the kidos. They are excited.

This card is something I was working on and it just happened. I started with the pattern paper and worked around that. The cuttle bug added texture onto the green paper. Then the paper flowers are from Prima. Laugh is a stamp from Tuesdays.

Gift Card Holder

This gift card holder is easy to make and so cute.

First off you need a piece of cardstock paper that measures 10 x 4 1/4 scoring at the 3 and 7 1/4.

To make this gift holder stable enough to hold a gift card or money you will need to add 2 eyelets to the inside to hold the sides together.

Then you want to decorate the front. To make the front stay shut you will need some stretchy cord which I bought at Hobby Lobby. They have black and white. Take a piece of that about 7 inches. Enough to wrap around the card without it buckling the card. I did 2 eyelets again to make the cording secure on the card so it did not rip it out. I tied and knotted in the front and mounted the flower on top with pop dots.

Hope this gives you some great ideas for graduations, weddings and birthdays!

Tablet cover

This fun tablet started off as a regular steno tablet. I took the spiral off and punched the holes onto a piece of paper that I lined up with the cover. Tied a few ribbons on and decorated it with a stamp set from Close To My Heart. Hope you enjoy this and puts you in a summery mood.

Florida Trip

The kids enjoyed the trip to Florida to see Grandma and Grandpa. The trip took 19 hours with 2 kids and 2 dogs.

6x6 scrapbook page

This was a April scrapbook page for club. We used the little tags that are laying on top of the photo placement area for the second page. Colors were very fun. Orchid, lilac mist, black, bubblegum, citirus leaf and stamps all from CTMH.

Watercoloring On Your Stamps

This idea was shared by a awesome downline. Love the look with flower stamps. You will need watercolored pencils, stamps, fine water mist spray bottle and cardstock.

First spritz your stamp very lightly with water. (If you do tooo much the water will pool and make a muddy mess when you add color.) Then take your color choice of watercolor pencils. I took a bright pink and a purple watercolor pencils. Color just the outline of the stamp with the purple. I then went back and added pink to the center of the flower. Stamp this onto your cardstock.

Lightly spritz the stem of the flower and add green colored pencils to the edges to the stamp. Stamp this onto your cardstock.

I again spritzed the stamp lightly and added color to the flower center edge in blue, stamp down into flower. Stamp this into your center of the flower on your cardstock.

This is the finished card with the papers layered and BGTP and ribbon.

This pretty card is created by using a couple inks. First I took the flower stamp and inked it in watermelon ink, then took hydragana ink and rolled the flower that is inked in watermelon onto the edges. Then took a fine water mist sprayer and spritzed it very very lightly. Then stamped it once and again for another flower with another look. I got 2 flowers from one inking. One really dark like this on and then a little lighter one. Did the same with the stem witht he green. Tomorrow I will be showing another way to get a watercolor look with these stamps and watercolor pencils.

Are you on the fence? This cute little fence is a nice spring/summery card to send to your friends. We are making this card in club this month. I distressed the edge with desert sand ink. Other colors used are autumn terracotta, hollyhock, olive. Word set is the May SOTM. The flowers are stamped and then the edges rolled up to give texture.

This card same together when I took the challenge at Paper Popsicle of a shape card. What fun this was. Others made there cards into cupcakes, flowers, circles ect. What fun!

Thinking Of You

This standard size card is done with the new whoops a daisy paper and the May Stamp Of The Month from CTMH. I added texture with my paper scorer on the breeze cardstock with the white core. Sanded it to show the texture. Also on the white cardstock base I sponged purple ink on the edge.

Wow another sunny warm day here. It is strange not really spring, just jumped from winter to summer. Hope we get a spring along the way. Sure makes work easier for me when I am servicing accounts in and out of the car all day. Raining days are the pits, since I look like drowned rat.

Hello, another nice warm day here and it is going to be sunny again. We did yard work last night. Cleaned up leaves around the landscaping and trimmed shurbs. What a mess we had. I think the neighbors were glad we started cleaning so they can do theirs. With a slight wind all the leaves travel. Now to finish up the side yard. My allergies were kicking in last night so I am not to excited to do another round.

What a wake up system we had today. The bed was wiggling and waving since we have a waterbed at 5:40 from a 5.4 earthquake. Keep in mind we are in Northern Indiana. Pictures were rattling on the wall and I thought it was rain.

This card is another club project we did this past month. All products from CTMH. Special note: we used liquid glass on the cupcake. Also used a scoring blade to score 1/4 inch around the pink paper( has white core) for a border and then distressed it with sand paper.

This card says it all, I am starting to feel old and when I look at others they look so young. Was talking with a girlfriend yesterday about youth. In my mind kids never grow up when I do not see them often. For example I asked what size her daughter is wearing. I was suprised since I thought in my mind she would stay a baby forever. Where does the time go? When did my baby grow up so big?

This is a swap I am doing with the Stampladies. We have taken 6 months at a time and designed a 9x9 layout for each month. This is the last 6 months so we should have a nice seasonal 9x9 pages to show at gatherings. Great job ladies!

A few weeks ago I was at a weekend crop. I was asked to do a workshop item again this year. So we did the File Folder Tag Book. Take a 12x12 file folder scored in half and then into the smaller sections for the tags to slide in. Papers and stickers from CTMH. This is a simple verison. So many of the file folder tag books are so dolled up. Hope you enjoy this idea.

Good morning

Todays I have to get ready for Hostess Club, about 11 ladies coming. We are also looking to the skies for storms. Here is to mild weather, I am not a storm lover. I think I would feel safer with storms if we did not have large oak trees all around us. The fear of them falling on the house is high on my list. We have had a few years back 1 huge tree fall on the back of the house and that tree brought down 2 more oaks with it. Then about 5 years before that we had another fall from the neighbors that just missed the house by 25 yards and landed across the deck and crushing the kids swingset. So you now know one of my fears.

These two photos were taken of the boys having a watergun fight. The weather was about 67* that is balmy for us so far this year. They had a blast. The tallest child is my son. They are all the same age.

Happy Monday~!

Well can you believe it I am posting for another day in a row! Here is a clue........... I did a bunch of cards and pages and took picks and loaded them onto a cd. Then able to post from the laptop instead of the main computer which is always taken over by the kids. We have 4 computers and I should at least have access to one that actually works well. LOL

This is another card using Worth Repeating Stamps, darling! I outlined her in yellow inside the lines to give her some color and then outlined her in a light gray marker to add depth.

Now off to figure out why my other photos will not upload.

Another sunny day and birds are chirpping. I would say spring is finally here. The kids are on spring break this week and sleeping in. Of course one of them has a cold. If my memory is right the same boy was sick last spring break and he said it sucked to be sick on break. LOL Hoping we all do not get that cold. If I am going to get it, it will be on Wednesday since I have a show that night with a new group of gals.

This card was a project we did for club last month. We used : Angel Whisper stamp set from CTMH Colors: Sunflower, Hollyhock, Olive cardstocks and Inks. Sanded the cardstock to show the white core. Added a button to the center of the flower. Simple little 4x4 card.

Good morning! What a sunny weekend we have in store for us.

My weekends plans are to prepare for a CTMH show for early next week so I am going to be hiding in my stamp room over the weekend a little. Will have to take photos of those items created and post them next week.

Today's photo is a baby thank you card I made for a friend.

I used a older- CTMH stamp Baby Buggy stamped in Grey Wool Ink Colored with Buttercup Marker and highlighted with Sunny Yellow. Trimmed with Grey Wool Marker on the edges. Cardstock is Buttercup and embossed the checkered design with the Impressor Mat then sanded to show the white core to the paper. Added a white ribbon to accent. I thought these were darling.

This cute little dancing frog was bought years ago at a Stamp Convention in Wisconsin. I think she is darling and the colors are making spring come soon to me. (At least in my stamping area)Cardstock used is from CTMH. Black Cardstock, Orchid Bouquet, White Daisy, Black BGTP Paper. Colored in with Citrus Leaf green, Watermelon,Orchid Bouquet. I added Diamond Stickle to her eyelids. Green buttons from ?? Stamp is from Worth Repeating This card is also another oldie but goodie. Same stamp convention in Wisconsin found in a sale been. Stamp is from Worth Repeating. Cardstock is from CTMH, colors are Citrus Leaf, Orchid Bouquet (which was scored a 1/4 inch all the way around the card),Black,White Daisy. Marker colors are Orange, Sunny Yellow, Orchid Bouquet,Citrus Leaf. I added Diamond Stickle to the wings and Black Brads to the corner.

Cool and damp day here. We are talking about camping on Saturday night. Lows are suppose to be in the lower 40* for the overnight. Not sure if we will go it is a little chilly. But then on the other hand I do not like to camp when it is hot either. I like my personal campsite my backyard with all the items we need.

Chilly Fall Day, I love it. But when we go from warm and humid to cool and dry there is a small adjustment. I need thicker blood to stay warm.

I had my Open House on Thursday last week and was busy and then the clean up. I hate cleaning up projects. I had such a mess. I finally put my stamp room back togther tonight(Tuesday). Then after my Open House we lost our modem box so DSL. Then the weekend happened. Today I took some time to make some cards with the Infuse paper by Basic Grey. I took photos and they did not turn out this evening. Will retake tomorrow in natural light and post those. So tonight I would like to introduce you to one of my Bostons. This one is T-Bone, he is 3 years old. I hand raised him.

More exciting news, yesterday I got a announcement that I won 3rd place in a art contest from Close To My Heart. This is the second month in a row. I am thrilled!

Candy Anyone?

This is a recycled Jones Soda bottle. We were at some friends over the weekend and the kid were drinking soda. I seen the bottles and thought okay they are going home with me. My husband and I both wanted the bottles. I want them for stamping and he wants them for making BEER! Men! Don't they know that stampings wins! LOL I was able to get 2 of the 3 bottles. So the other bottle has candy corn in it. Darling. Just imagine a drink holder to place them in as a gift basket. I did not have time but have been thinking of it.

Monday evening.........

Been busy stamping today. I finished a swap and then finished getting ready for my classes this week and finally cleaned my mess in the stamp room. I am the sort of person that does not put much away until I am done creating. I might have 2 or 3 different projects on the table and what is left is my working area is about 12x12 size. I have 2-8 ft tables+

This is a card that is being used for my Open House. Stamps are the Etched Leaves from Close To My Heart with the Enchanted Papers. I love those papers.

Did some organizing and getting ready for clubs this month and my open house on Thursday. I am getting nervous from the number of RSVP's I am getting. I hope I have enough of me to go around. I skipped last summers blow out. So I think they are ready this years open house. I also have a used table that is well loved for stamps, papers ect. I have to get m0re cleaning done for this event. I am a paper LOVER but mainly a Hoarder of papers. I managed to part with some papers to make this 5x7 album tin. Keeping in mind I bought more paper just in case I really needed it. LOL

Hot and Humid Wednesday. I did my Candy Sales route today and about melted. Thank goodness my samples are not chocolate!! I am to remember to enjoy it now since the winter is so bitterly cold. Did stop at a clothing store today in the mall and they had some wonderful fall styles out. There is cool breeze coming sooner or later.

It is a beautiful day here no rain in site and lots of blue sky's with sun! After last weeks rain event we have high lifted spirits. My youngest was thrilled today so he could ride his bike to school. That independence that they crave. This is a artwork posting of a Ribbon Card. I used old cardboard pieces for the chipboard. I glued on the Texture papers on them. Using my crop-a-dial punched holes and laced the pages together. This was a small project that took a few days to get just so.
